A space that supports creative pursuits.

After 20 years of leading national architectural practice Conrad Gargett, Bruce emerged with a change of focus from mega building projects to projects of a more intimate and personal scale.

Studio Wolfe was established in 2019 as a delivery vehicle for these ideas but is based on a lifetime’s interest in design and particularly design in timber.

Concepts developed in the studio range from drawings and small-scale artefacts to modest buildings. All bring thoughts to life as concepts of layered ideas or actual physical creations.

Bruce is currently co-director of Harrigans Lane Collective but also still involved in the practice of architecture. He is chair of the Queensland College of Art Industry Advisory Board and Adjunct Professor in the School of Architecture at the University of Queensland. Harrigans Lane is home to the multi award winning Piano Mill and recital building, ‘Lagavulin’, both designed by Bruce.
